| 1. Have students take a digital photo of themselves. This is my daughter, Katie. |
| 2. Email me at kfontes2@neo.rr.com for the mandala template. |
| 3. Open the photo. The template and the photo should have the same resolution. |
| 4. The photo should measure about 2.5 or 2.75 inches TALL. |
| 5. Select ALL on the photo. (marching ants marquee will appear around the photo.) |
| 6. Edit COPY. |

| 7. Click on the window with the template. Using the magic wand click inside the first triangle. |
| 8. Remember you have copied your photo - so now all you need to do is Edit - PASTE INTO. |
| 9. Your photo should be in the triangle. Move it around until you see yourself (this is sort of arbitrary - just pick an interesting view). |

| 10. Now back to your photo - Edit - FLIP HORIZONTAL. |

| 11. Select the photo again - select all - copy and paste into. But you can see the second photo is not angled right. |

| 13. Back to the photo and FLIP HORIZONTAL |
| 14. EDIT COPY |
| 15. Select third triangle EDIT PASTE INTO |
| 16. EDIT TRANSFORM - ROTATE -45 |

| 17. Align the photos. |
| 18. Select photo - flip horizontal again - select all - copy - paste into the last triangle - Edit - Transform - Rotate -90 |

| 19. All four pieces of the pie are filled. |
| 20. Now you must flatten the layers. Go to Layers - Flatten image. |
| 21. Using the magic wand select all the white space around the images. Go to Select - Inverse. |
| 22. Edit copy - Edit Paste. |

| 23. Edit - Rotate - 90 degrees counter clockwise. |
|
| 24. Flatten image again. |
| 25. Use the Magic Wand to select the white space. Select - inverse - Edit copy. Edit Paste. Edit - Transform - Rotate - 180 degrees. |

| 26. Line up both sides and Ta Da. Your mandala is finished. They fit onto a CD. You can paste them onto a CD and hang them up in some sort of mobile. |
